Hi Everyone!!
We were not disappointed ........
This was the first time I had been here and the second time for Andrew but he was a kid when he was last there. I was unsure at first what the logistics of the walk to the waterfall would be like having a three year old , and a one year old whom i'd be carrying in our Connecta carrier, but after asking on facebook I was reassured we would be fine.
The drive to High Force was lovely once we got into the dales. There was lots of things to look at for Mason out the window to keep him occupied including (in his own words..) "A Gruffalo Forest!" .....it was a bunch of trees...lol
We made it to the car park, which was an impressively big car park at that, situated right next to a pub....yesssss! It only cost us £6 for the whole thing! £3 to park the car and £1.50 each (adult ticket) to enter the walk to the waterfall. Children below 5 go free which is a plus!
The walk down was stunning and a really flat gravel path, you could even take a buggy really. The sun was beaming down on us and Mason was so excited to see the waterfall, and the waterfall was AMAZING!
The pictures don't do it any justice at all, you need to go see it for yourself! They are open 10am-5pm in the summer months and 10am-4pm winter months.
After the waterfall we called into the pub/hotel for a drink and to share a bowl ...or two ...of chips, check out their website if your travelling from further afield you could get a room here for the night!
